Trail 2 of six · Walt Disney World · 7 finds
S.E.A.
Follow the Society of Explorers and Adventurers through portraits, letters, fezzes, maps, shipwrecks and artifacts hidden across the resort.
One URL, one search: s.e.a. at disney world, and which parts Disney says itself.
Your guide

Trixie the Time Traveler, the guide written for this hunt. She also guides Trixie’s Time Adventures on the TrixiePlanner front page.“S.E.A. hides whole biographies in portraits, props and paperwork. Names matter here—write them down and follow the connections.”
How this trail reads
The Society of Explorers and Adventurers is a story Disney tells, and on this trail more of it stands on the operator's own pages than on anything else: six of these seven sources are Disney's. The house keeps an S.E.A. workbook in which every row is graded by who owns it, and each find below is tied to the row it came from.
The workbook behind these seven
These seven are a walking route. The full workbook — the Society row by row, the props, the people, the places, the timeline and the claims this house refuses to settle — is a separate set of pages: Who Says So.
Your own record
A reader keeping track of what they have seen is collecting, and these pages support it. What they do not do is turn it into a score: there is no total set against another reader, no ranking of one find above another, no badge and no streak. The three difficulty words the original page carried on the Hidden Mickey finds — they graded the finds against each other — were removed for that reason, and a build that lets one back onto a page fails.
Marking a find is a convenience for a reader and not a record this house keeps. It is written into this browser's own storage on this device; it is never sent anywhere, it is never counted against another reader, and there is no badge, no streak and no leaderboard at the end of it. With scripts switched off there is no button, and nothing else on this page changes.
The seven finds
1 of 7 · Meet Barnabas T. Bullion
Magic Kingdom · Big Thunder Mountain
The clue
In the Big Thunder Mountain queue, find the portrait of the severe mine owner whose company name covers the operation.
What you are looking at
Barnabas T. Bullion founded the Big Thunder Mining Company and is now explicitly identified by Disney as a key S.E.A. member.

2 of 7 · The president's land grant
Magic Kingdom · Big Thunder Mountain
The clue
Near Bullion's mining paperwork, look for a land grant bearing the name of a real United States president.
What you are looking at
The prop is signed by James K. Polk. It anchors Bullion's fictional claim to the mountain inside real nineteenth-century history.

3 of 7 · An entomologist's collection
Magic Kingdom · Jungle Cruise
The clue
Search the enhanced Jungle Cruise queue for specimens and belongings attributed to Dr. Kon Chunosuke.
What you are looking at
Disney identifies Chunosuke as a member of S.E.A. His entomological collection turns a queue detail into a direct Society sighting.

4 of 7 · The once-secret meeting room
Magic Kingdom · Skipper Canteen
The clue
Ask to see—or dine in—the room whose shelves, cabinets and walls look more like an explorer's archive than a restaurant.
What you are looking at
The S.E.A. Room is officially described as the Society's once-secret meeting place. It is the densest public S.E.A. environment at Walt Disney World.

5 of 7 · The Society's roll call
Magic Kingdom · Skipper Canteen
The clue
Inside the S.E.A. Room, look upward for a collection of fezzes. Read the labels before treating them as decoration.
What you are looking at
The fezzes name members and associates including Albert Falls, Lord Henry Mystic, Mary Oceaneer and Merriweather Pleasure. Together they act as a physical roll call.

6 of 7 · Mary Oceaneer's stranded collection
Typhoon Lagoon · Miss Adventure Falls
The clue
Follow the wrecked ship, salvaged treasures and diving equipment through the Miss Adventure Falls environment.
What you are looking at
A storm stranded Captain Mary Oceaneer's vessel and collection here. Disney explicitly identifies the oceanographer and treasure hunter as a S.E.A. member.

7 of 7 · A hangar full of cross-references
Disney Springs · Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar
The clue
Do not stop at the aviation props. Search the artifact collection for references that point beyond Indiana Jones and into the larger explorer network.
What you are looking at
Disney now says the hangar's artifacts and references connect to the larger S.E.A. universe, while carefully hedging whether Jock himself is a member.

What a find rests on
- Who published it
- Disney’s own page — disneyworld.disney.go.com, d23.com or disneyparksblog.com — or somebody else’s. 6 of the 7 finds rest on Disney’s own; 1 do not.
- Standing
- LEAD, on all 7. Opening the operator’s page for the place does not open it on the claim, so a find stays a lead until a page is opened on the claim itself. Nothing on these pages is settled by having been published.
- Disney lists the place
- 7 finds reach a Field File — this house’s page for a thing Walt Disney World lists. That establishes the place. It establishes nothing about the find.
- Disney printed the name
- 0 finds reach a dated guide-map printing run off Disney’s own paper, which is the strongest thing in this set.
- This house wrote it down
- 7 finds reach a row in the Hidden Mickey workbook or the S.E.A. workbook, each row carrying its own owner and its own standing.
- A name left the map
- 0 finds reach a succession pair: the last sheet a name was printed on, the first sheet without it, and the pool of names that began printing after the gap. The pool proposes and nothing more; a person rules.
- Nothing at all
- 0 of 7 finds reach nothing this house holds. They say so on their own line rather than leaving a reader to assume more.
A printing run is Disney's own paper. Two kinds of sheet are read for it: one carries the operator's own digital text, the other was read by machine off folded paper. Both can attest that a name was printed on a dated sheet. Neither can anchor an absence, so a run states its own reading for its first and last sheet.
