The Society, and who Disney names
The Society of Explorers and Adventurers is a story Disney tells across several of its own venues, and a much larger story other people tell about it. Twenty-three figures are listed below. Each one says whether the operator names the person, whether a physical object carries them, or whether the standing rests on secondary documentation, and the three are never merged.
Nothing on these pages is ranked, scored or counted down. The bands say what the record does, never how good anything is.
What the operator itself carries
The workbook records the Society as established in the early 1500s and still active in the operator's current storytelling. Where a figure's standing is stated cautiously in the workbook, that caution is reproduced word for word rather than resolved: the workbook's own guardrail on one of these figures is that the operator's current wording says member or closely connected, and that it must never be upgraded. It is not upgraded here.
The house does not have to take that on trust. It holds its own capture of the operator's page for the restaurant, taken 2026-09-08, and the passage reads:
“Delight your big and little explorers with premium table-service dining in 3 curiously quirky rooms: the crew’s colonial-era Mess Hall (which is not messy at all, thank you very much); the Jungle Room, former family parlor of Dr. Albert Falls himself; and the S.E.A. Room—a once-secret meeting place for the Society of Explorers and Adventurers!”

The one standing the page refuses to settle
The workbook's guardrail on Jock Lindsey is that the operator's current wording places him as a member or as closely connected, and that the ambiguity must never be resolved in either direction. The house's own capture of the operator's page for the bar reads:
“Jock eventually built an airplane hangar, air tower and runway, and invited fellow members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to pay him a visit.”
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar | Walt Disney World Resort · captured 2026-09-08 (live page captured) · held locally at F:\DEEPVAULT\disney_parks\disney_parks_20260908_015810\files\disneyworld.disney.go.com\Page\html\dining\disney-springs\jock-lindseys-hangar-bar\index.html
That sentence says Jock invited fellow members to visit. It does not say he was one, and it does not say he was not. This page prints the sentence and stops there. Reading membership into the word “fellow” would be this page doing the exact thing it exists to argue against.

Four figures this page will not carry
Every source the workbook held for these was a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia. Under the house ruling they carry no support at all, so the subject is named and the claim is not printed. Printing the claim while calling it unsupported would still be publishing it.

Pictures the house holds
Every picture below is held by this house. Each one states what it shows, which document and page it came from, the basis of its date, and where the file sits, so a reader can open the sheet rather than take the caption's word for it.
How to read a row on these pages
- DISNEY SAYS IT
- The operator's own published page carries this. The workbook cites a Disney page for it.
- A PROP CARRIES IT
- A physical object in the park carries this. The documentation of that object is a third party's photograph or catalogue, not Disney's copy.
- LEGACY OR UNVERIFIED
- Carried in older material or in secondary documentation, and not established by a current operator page.
- FAN THEORY
- Told by readers and enthusiasts. The workbook records it as a theory and does not assert it.
- DISNEY IS THE SOURCE
- The workbook records the operator as the owner of this row. Forty-one of its 98 rows are marked this way.
- SOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE
- The workbook records a third party as the owner. Fifty-six rows are marked this way.
- THIS VENUE'S OWN OPERATOR PAGE NAMES THE SOCIETY
- The house's own capture of the operator's page for that venue carries the Society's name. The capture is one day's crawl, so it says what the page said that day.
- ANOTHER VENUE'S OPERATOR PAGE NAMES BOTH
- A captured page belonging to a different venue carries both names. It is evidence about that page, and it is not counted as this venue's.
- THE HOUSE'S MAPS PRINT THE NAME
- A dated printed guide map in this house's own run carries the name. It attests a printing on a date, never a prop and never an absence.
- NOT IN THE HOUSE'S MAP RUN
- No sheet among the 171 this house holds carries the name. The run is not every sheet ever printed, so this says what the holdings do not have and nothing more.
- SUPPORT WITHDRAWN
- Every source the workbook had for the row was a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia. Under the house ruling of 18 September 2026 the row carries no support at all, so the subject is named and the claim is not published.
Two transcription conventions are in use and the page states both. Passages taken from a locally-held capture of the operator's own page, and from the guide-map sheets, come from real text embedded in those files rather than from OCR: they read as clean English and are QUOTED, with runs of whitespace collapsed to single spaces and nothing else done to them. Anything whose only reading is OCR is CITED by document, date and page and never quoted, because a corrected quotation is an invented one.
