Nine refusals, and fourteen withdrawals

What this page does not claim

Most writing about this subject publishes everything it can get away with. This section is the opposite and it is not an apology. It is evidence about the evidence: nine claims the workbook could have made and deliberately did not, each with the reason, and fourteen catalogue rows whose entire support was withdrawn by a house ruling after the workbook was written.

Nothing on these pages is ranked, scored or counted down. The bands say what the record does, never how good anything is.

Nine claims the workbook declined to make

EPCOT U.K. Pavilion

LEGACY OR UNVERIFIEDSOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Royal Adventurer's Society library still displays the S.E.A. Handbook and Skipper Canteen books.

Why it is not made. On-site/current-photo verification needed before calling it current 2026.

1 fan-site citation dropped, 18 Sept 2026. Nothing above rests on it.

AbracadaBar

LEGACY OR UNVERIFIEDDISNEY IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Anonymous S.E.A. fez remains on display in the current bar.

Why it is not made. Venue is current, but the exact prop was established through secondary documentation.

Jungle Cruise

LEGACY OR UNVERIFIEDDISNEY IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Exact current mix/location of S.E.A.-marked crates, map/emblems, Hightower cargo and any Mystic references.

Why it is not made. Queue props changed during/after 2021 enhancement. Photograph current queue before a 'complete current inventory' claim.

1 fan-site citation dropped, 18 Sept 2026. Nothing above rests on it.

Skipper Canteen

A PROP CARRIES ITSOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Exact count and current names on all member fezzes.

Why it is not made. The physical member set is well documented, but secondary catalogs vary slightly in count/spelling.

Skipper Canteen

A PROP CARRIES ITSOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Exact spelling of Sango Shio/Sio and some book titles.

Why it is not made. Preserve what is printed in a fresh photo rather than normalizing from fan catalogs.

1 fan-site citation dropped, 18 Sept 2026. Nothing above rests on it.

Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar

DISNEY SAYS ITDISNEY IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Whether Disney currently calls Jock a full member.

Why it is not made. Use 2026 official wording: 'either a member or closely connected.' Older promotional copy was more definite.

Trader Sam's Grog Grotto

LEGACY OR UNVERIFIEDSOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Direct S.E.A. emblem/member object at the WDW grotto.

Why it is not made. This research found strong JNC + Adventurers Club adjacency but no clean official basis to label the grotto itself an S.E.A. outpost.

The only citation this row had pointed at a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia, and it was withdrawn under the house's source ruling of 18 September 2026. The row has no surviving support of any kind, and nothing above is asserted on the strength of what was withdrawn.

Grand Floridian / older Pleasure Island backstories

FAN THEORYNO SOURCE AT ALL

The claim the workbook could have made. Claims tying Merriweather Pleasure to a Grand Floridian mansion/Isabella.

Why it is not made. Legacy fan-retold material was not strong enough for the main catalog. Keep out of published canon unless a primary source is found.

The workbook records no source at all for this row.

Expedition Everest

FAN THEORYSOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE

The claim the workbook could have made. Claim that Everest is an S.E.A. attraction.

Why it is not made. A Hightower book in Skipper Canteen references a Yeti expedition; that is an Easter egg, not proof Everest belongs to S.E.A.

Fourteen rows whose support was withdrawn

On 18 September 2026 this house ruled that crowd-sourced encyclopedias, media commons and fan encyclopedias are not a source here — not as a source, not as a citation, not as a caption, not as an image. Five of the workbook's eighteen sources fall under that ruling. Fourteen catalogue rows had no other support at all. They are named below and nothing they said is reproduced, because printing a claim in order to disown it is still publishing it. A further one of the refusals printed above lost every citation to the same ruling; it is already printed with its own reason and is not counted twice here.

The rule is enforced by the builder, not by good intentions: every page is scanned before the run is allowed to succeed and a single hit anywhere aborts it.

The rows that never had a source

The workbook also carries one row marked as having no source at all. Its own note says legacy material retold by readers was not strong enough for the catalogue and should stay out of published canon unless a primary source turns up. It is counted here so that the arithmetic on the index page — forty-one rows the operator owns, fifty-six a third party owns, one nobody owns — adds up in public.

How to read a row on these pages

DISNEY SAYS IT
The operator's own published page carries this. The workbook cites a Disney page for it.
A PROP CARRIES IT
A physical object in the park carries this. The documentation of that object is a third party's photograph or catalogue, not Disney's copy.
LEGACY OR UNVERIFIED
Carried in older material or in secondary documentation, and not established by a current operator page.
FAN THEORY
Told by readers and enthusiasts. The workbook records it as a theory and does not assert it.
DISNEY IS THE SOURCE
The workbook records the operator as the owner of this row. Forty-one of its 98 rows are marked this way.
SOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE
The workbook records a third party as the owner. Fifty-six rows are marked this way.
THIS VENUE'S OWN OPERATOR PAGE NAMES THE SOCIETY
The house's own capture of the operator's page for that venue carries the Society's name. The capture is one day's crawl, so it says what the page said that day.
ANOTHER VENUE'S OPERATOR PAGE NAMES BOTH
A captured page belonging to a different venue carries both names. It is evidence about that page, and it is not counted as this venue's.
THE HOUSE'S MAPS PRINT THE NAME
A dated printed guide map in this house's own run carries the name. It attests a printing on a date, never a prop and never an absence.
NOT IN THE HOUSE'S MAP RUN
No sheet among the 171 this house holds carries the name. The run is not every sheet ever printed, so this says what the holdings do not have and nothing more.
SUPPORT WITHDRAWN
Every source the workbook had for the row was a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia. Under the house ruling of 18 September 2026 the row carries no support at all, so the subject is named and the claim is not published.

Two transcription conventions are in use and the page states both. Passages taken from a locally-held capture of the operator's own page, and from the guide-map sheets, come from real text embedded in those files rather than from OCR: they read as clean English and are QUOTED, with runs of whitespace collapsed to single spaces and nothing else done to them. Anything whose only reading is OCR is CITED by document, date and page and never quoted, because a corrected quotation is an invented one.
